Treader’s celebrates grand opening

Treader's Deli, located at 1309 Main Street in Great Bend, recently celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting and Business After Hours event. As the seventh of the MyTown stores to open, the new restaurant serves soups, salads, sandwiches, and snacks from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

K of C slates hog fest Nov. 13

The Larned Knights of Columbus Council 3273 will have its Fall Hog Fest from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the K of C Hall on Scenic Drive in southwest Larned. Vets’ representative to be in Larned Tuesday

ELLINWOOD - Virginia Manning, 91, died May 20 at her home in Ellinwood. Born Dec. 16, 1921 in Ellinwood, she was the daughter of E. Aubrey Smith and Hazel Converse Smith. In 1939, she graduated from Ellinwood High School. On May 17, 1940 she married Delmar Manning in Ellinwood. He died on Oct. 11, 2005. A lifetime resident of Ellinwood, she was a homemaker.
