HOISINGTON - Donald Dean Degenhardt, 72, entered into the presence of his Savior April 21 at his home, Hoisington, surrounded by his wife of nearly 50 years, his four daughters and one grandson. Don was born November 8, 1941 at home in LaCrosse, Kansas, the youngest child born to George and Anna Margaret (Meier) Degenhardt. He graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1959. He served in the Kansas National Guard from 1963 to 1969. On September 7, 1964, Don married Lyrie A. "Angel" Mead in Larned, Kansas.
PRATT - Carolee Webster, 79, died April 21, in Pratt. Born April 21, 1935, in Dodge City, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Mildred Deford. A graduate of Garden City High School, Carolee married the love of her life Jim Webster on July 17, 1952, in Clayton N.M. A devoted mother and coaches' wife, she followed her husband to Munden, Macksville, Cunningham, and Pratt where she has resided since 1973. She worked at Pratt County Hospital, Foreman Pipeline Industries, Eubank Veterinary Clinic and at the Sanders Agency in Pratt.

Born on Oct. 8, 1942, in Barton County, she was the daughter of Reuben R. and Edna Templing Steinert. In 1960, she graduated from Russell High School. A resident of Garden City since 1988, she was a certified dietician, having worked for the Russell Care Center in Russell. On Oct. 21, 1962, she married Harlan Maier in Milberger. LARNED - Eldon A. Hays, 86, passed away April 1, at Diversicare of Larned in Larned. Born July 21, 1927, in Pittsburg, he was the son of William Anderson and Hannah Laura Daykin Hays. On May 24, 1985, he married Linda Oles in Ness City. She survives. A resident of Larned, moving from Arizona in 2006, he was a grocery store manager. He was an avid hunter and loved any type of outdoor sports.
