Two people from Dodge City were taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital following a rollover accident Wednesday afternoon in the 400 block of West Barton County Road. Gerald J. "Jerry" Christiansen, 84, died Jan. 18 at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend. He was born June 13, 1926, at Barton County, the son of Ralph and Elsie (Ewing) Christiansen. He married Alice Nadine Amerine on July 14, 1946, at Great Bend. She died Dec. 12, 2010. He was a mechanic for Manweiler Chevrolet and later opened Jerry's Repair. He was a lifetime Great Bend resident.
