SHAWNEE, Okla. - Great Bend resident Leslie Rae Wrinkle received a bachelor's degree in nursing during Oklahoma Baptist University's 2011 Spring Commencement on Friday, May 13, in the university's Raley Chapel. Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin presented the commencement address. Fallin is an OBU alumna, having attended classes on Bison Hill for two years. Great Bend Children's Learning Center held a food drive for the local food bank the past couple weeks. The kids were very excited to help out families that may be in need this holiday season. The kids brought in a total of 366 items to donate.
