HOISINGTON - The Hoisington High School boys' basketball team put away Minneapolis for good in the third quarter, scoring 20 points in a 48-29 romp on Friday night in a second round game of the Hoisington Winter Jam.
While not generally known as a venue for heavy metal, the Shafer Gallery will be just that as it unveils its exhibit of rustic metal sculptures titled "Chaplets, Copes and Drags," by Ellinwood artists Aaron McCaffery and Casey Westbrook with an opening reception from 1-3 p.m. today.
RUSSELL - "IMpressionist Paintings and EXpressionist Drawings" by Native American artist Peter Paul Bruno will be at the Deines Cultural Center from Jan. 17 through Feb. 24, 2013. The opening reception is Sunday, Jan. 27, from 2-4 p.m.
