Great Bend Regional Hospital is helping Park Elementary School students to stay active. The hospital provided a donation that is for the purchase of playground equipment, as well as indoor activity games. New jump ropes, balls and activity games are expected to arrive at the school in about a week.
Welcome to another edition of Marsh Musings. For most of the year, my red (more like orange) hair separates me from the general public. Sure it is easy to find me in a crowd, but sometimes it is nice to just go unnoticed. Great Bend High School members in the Southwest Kansas Music Educators Association District Honor Band are: Addison Baxter, first chair percussion; Taylor Fry, second chair flute; Estella Schumacher, trumpet first alternate; and Luke Abbott, second chair euphonium. They are part of the 22-county district band that meets in Dodge City on Saturday, Dec. 3. A concert will be given at 3:15 p.m. in the Dodge City High School auditorium. Also at the concert David Meter, activities director at GBHS, will be honored as the District Honored Administrator.
