GBHS comedy goes high tech

The curtain will rise at 2 p.m. Sunday for the first of three performances of "The Love of Three Oranges" by Hilary DePiano, the Great Bend High School spring play. It can also be seen at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the high school auditorium. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults and are available at the door.

Cold Weather Rule to end March 31

The Kansas Cold Weather Rule ends on Tuesday, and Kansans who are delinquent on electric and natural gas utility bills will be subject to disconnection of service. The rule, in effect Nov. 1 through March 31, each year, provides protection to residential customers who cannot fully pay winter utility bills from companies under the Kansas Corporation Commission's (KCC) jurisdiction. That protection ends Tuesday.

Kiwanis Easter Egg hunt

The annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Great Bend Noon Kiwanis Club will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, at the Kiwanis Walking Track on the north side of Veterans Memorial Park. The event is open to all area children pre-school through 6th grade. There will be Easter eggs and prizes given for special eggs.
