The Bittersweet Christmas Band playing at Back Room
The holidays are a mixed bag and so is the Bittersweet Christmas Band, says Karen Neuforth at the Barton County Arts Council. Great Bend boy diagnosed with cancer
Kans for Kids Fighting Cancer Foundation has announced that a fund has been established for 23-month-old Kaito Richter, Great Bend, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. He is undergoing chemotherapy treatment in Wichita. He is the son of Amber Beverley and Nick Richter, Great Bend.
Veterans Service Representative visit
A Veterans Service Representative from the Kansas Commission on Veterans' Affairs will be at the Great Bend Kansasworks center, 1025 Main Street, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday to assist veterans and their families in applying for VA benefits.
