EDMOND, Okla. - Kevin L. Cook, 36, of Edmond, Okla., died Oct. 22 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond. Kevin was born March 27, 1974, in Great Bend, to Gary and Lorene Cook. He resided in Perryton, Texas, from 1974-1985, when the family moved to Cushing, Okla. The Larned community has been "wonderful, supportive, active," in its relationship with Larned Healthcare Center, Alisha Heyen told attendees at last Thursday's Chamber Coffee Hour, hosted by LHC. She said results of an August survey of the facility were good. The healthcare center now has open dining for breakfast, from 6:30 to 9 a.m. This means residents do not have to be ready to dine at a certain time, but can "come and get it" any time in that 2 1/2-hour period.

ELLINWOOD - Lincoln Paul Tschopp, 78, died Aug. 17, at his home in Ellinwood. Born on Feb. 12, 1936, in Winfield, he was the son of Frederick and Cleoa (Pishney) Tschopp of Udall. He graduated as the first four sport letterman from Udall High School and holds degrees from both BCCC and Friends University in Wichita. After the 1955 Udall tornado destroyed his hometown, Paul enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Special Weapons Command. On April 4, 1975, he married Lillian Milberger in Wichita. GREAT BEND, Kan. (AP) - A memorial fund has been set up for the children of a Reno County jail deputy and his wife who died in a motorcycle crash during the weekend.
