GARFIELD – Wendell Wayne Fertig, 86, died Sept. 3, 2011, at the Medicalodge, Kinsley. He was born June 10, 1925 in Garfield; the son of Frank Abraham and Freda Blume Fertig. TIMKIN – Louise Marie Besperat, 79, of Timken died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney. She was born Jan. 11, 1932, in rural Bison, the daughter of Casper and Mary (Schmidt) Jacobs. She was a lifelong resident of Rush County.
