Victims airlifted to hospital in Wichtia

A three-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of 24th and Washington streets Tuesday. Two accident victims were airlifted to Wichita's Via-Christi Hospital following the accident. Great Bend police report an apparent medical condition by a driver triggered the accident at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday.

City of Larned files 2010 Census appeal

By Jim Misunas jmisunas@gbtribune.com LARNED - The city of Larned has filed an appeal with the U.S. Census Bureau arguing its 2010 headcount is too low. The 2010 Census reports the city of Larned had 4,054 residents, a 4.3 percent decrease from 2000 when it had 4,236 people. The appeal is filed with the 2010 Count Question Resolution (CQR) program, a mechanism for state and local government officials to challenge the 2010 Census population counts. ...

Suspect faces Stafford County charges

Hudson youngster to get medical help

HUDSON - "We have scheduled a trip for Derek!" A Hudson youngster diagnosed with cerebral palsy has been accepted for stem-cell replacement treatment at the Tiantan Puhua International Hospital in Beijing, China. Derek Grabast, the son of Ken and Brenda Grabast of Hudson will undergo a stem-cell procedure to treat non-verbal autism and spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Prairie fire brought under control

Teenage drowning victim found at Kanopolis Lake
