ROZEL - Things change so fast in 6-man football that Pawnee Heights' first football opponent has changed. The Tigers will play Wheatland-Grinell Friday instead of Western Plains. GARDEN CITY - Great Bend's volleyball team split a pair of Western Athletic matches - losing to Garden City 25-14, 25-12, but rallying to beat Liberal 25-22, 25-17 in a hard-fought match Thursday. Camryn Dunekack led the Garden City match with five kills and six digs.

Larned players, team earns awards

WAUPUN, Wis. -- Larned catcher Tyler Stelter and infielder-pitcher Landon Erway earned All-Tournament honors at the American Legion Class AA Central Plains Baseball Regional. Stelter (6 for 10) and Erway (8 for 15) led the Indians' hitting in the regional. Erway won a game against Menasha, Wis. and was unbeaten (4-0) in post-season play.
