Bike & Build contributes to Stafford County

STAFFORD - Stafford County Economic Development has been awarded a $3,900 grant towards constructing and renovating rental housing to address a severe shortage of modern and affordable workforce housing in a county where the average age of a house is 86 years old, and 80 percent of the housing stock is in less than "good" condition according to the county appraiser.

Groundbreaking held for home in Stafford

STAFFORD - Stafford County Economic Development and the Economic Development Housing Committee held a recent groundbreaking for a single-family home at the corner of St. Paul and Prairie Ave. in Stafford. The home will feature three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a basement. Stafford County Eco-Devo also completed a home in Macksville in 2014.

Four Hoisington wrestlers capture Cardinal Classic

HOISINGTON - Hoisington High's Tanner Cassity (126), No. 2 state-ranked Christopher Ball (145), No. 2 state-ranked Justin Bradley (220) and No. 2 state-ranked Landen Urban (285) earned first place at the Cardinal Classic Wrestling Tournament. The Cardinals scored 139.5 points to finish second behind Marysville (192).
