MCPHERSON - Great Bend's Kelby Titus shot a 90 to miss tying for top 15 medalist honors by one stroke Thursday at the McPherson Golf Invitational.
LARNED - Returning Class 3A state softball qualifier Haven rolled past Larned 20-3 and 17-1 in a doubleheader Tuesday. The Indians (0-4, 0-4 CKL) play Halstead at home Friday.

Great Bend's seven-run third inning paved the way for a 7-5 opening victory. Pitcher Hannah Honomichl overcame three errors and retired the Trojans in the final two innings.
Great Bend's pitchers earned big outs to earn a hard-fought Western Athletic Conference baseball sweep 2-1 and 6-3 over Liberal Tuesday.
GARDEN CITY - Great Bend's golf team struggled to a ninth-place finish (446) Saturday at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course. After a 75-minute frost delay, the day turned out mild and favorable for play.

NICKERSON - Larned's Kaitlyn Finger and Macksville's Emma Stitmatze placed first in the Nickerson Track Invitational. Finger won the discus (103-6) and Stimatze won the 1,600 (6:09.75).
CIMARRON -Ellinwood's girls won two relays and Hoisington's Johnathon Ball and Jocelynn Pedigo each won two events at the Cimarron Track Invitational.
KINSLEY - Central Prairie League rivals St. John High School and Central Plains tied for first with 73 points in the boys division at the Kinsley Track Invitational.
Central Plains High School all-staters Reagan Phelan and Taylor Rolfs will highlight the Fifth Annual Central Kansas All-Star High School Basketball Classic Sunday at Barton Community College.
