LAKE BARTON - Hoisington High (181) claimed the top prize on a fifth-player tiebreaker over rival Larned (181). Larned's Dorothy Keenan (38) placed first at Lake Barton Golf Course, the site of a Class 3A regional Oct. 10.

Larned boys wins Abby Trapp Memorial race

LARNED - Larned's boys captured Thursday's Abby Trapp Memorial Classic cross country meet with 39 points to edge St. John (42) by three points. Larned's boys won the Stafford Invitational and placed runner-up at the Hesston Swather Classic.

Larned returns to Class 4A

TOPEKA -- As expected, Larned High School returns to Class 4A for all sports except football for activities sponnsored by the KSHSAA. Larned will compete with Hoisington, Ellsworth and Lyons in a Class 3A football District in 2016 and 2017.
