May labor market similar to April

TOPEKA – The jobless rate in Barton County ticked upward slightly from April to May, while the statewide rate remained flat, the Kansas Department of Labor reported this week. The May 2012 Labor Report showed a 1 percent increase in private sector jobs since May 2011.

hotter temps see higher gas prices

As summer started to heat up, the average retail gasoline prices in Kansas climbed 8.5 cents per gallon in the past week, the gas-price-tracking website KansasGassPrices.com reported Monday. On Sunday, the statewide average was $3.42 per gallon, compared with the national average that has fallen 3.2 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.53.

Basically, it advertises that the same dining establishment that brought their customers the endless chocolate fountain that oozes molten chocolate ad nauseam now offers unlimited cotton candy. One's blood sugar spikes just watching this ad.
