HOISINGTON - Blanche R. Doonan, 88, died May 4 at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita. She was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Rush County, the daughter of Alex and Rosalia (Legleiter) Schaffer. She married Willard G. Doonan Nov. 5, 1939, at Russell. He died July 18, 2001. ELLINWOOD - Rob Zimmerman, 54, died Feb. 13, 2012 at his home in Ellinwood. Born July 17, 1957 in Ellinwood, he was the son of Robert M. Zimmerman and Beverly A. Blehm Zimmerman. He graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1975 and attended Salina Vo-Tech. On Feb. 17, 1995 he married Tammy Bownes in Las Vegas, Nev. A long-time resident of Ellinwood, he was an oilfield truck for Duke Drilling, hay hauler for Mike Ringwald, and employed by Fastrack Trucking in Raymond.
