Cattlemen around the state are marking their calendars and gearing up to attend the Kansas Cattlemen's Association's Annual Cattlemen's Convention and Trade Show in Dodge City, Kansas. The event will take place on November 9th at the United Wireless Arena and Magouirk Conference Center.

This week's Chamber of Commerce Coffee will be hosted by Johnson Electric, 2212 10th, at 9:30 a.m., Thursday. Host will be Scott Donovan with greeters John Sullivan and Eric Gotsche. Coffee, refreshments and door prizes will be available.
At Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation's Valentine party on Feb. 14, all residents were noted as kings and queens, however with a draw of names of residents attending event, LaVane Rohr and Claudine Ringwald represented them as king and queen. They were crowned as Walt Pennington entertained with music. All residents were presented a red rose compliments of Dillons and their customers and cookies and punch were provided by Epsilon Sigma Alpha (Zeta Gamma Chapter).
