ELLINWOOD - Ellinwood Grade School was awarded a Certificate of Recognition in the Challenge Award Program from the Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task Force. HOISINGTON - The city of Hoisington received very good news for the community when 6.7 acres of land were donated for residential development to its land bank, the Hoisington City Council learned at its recent meeting.
ELLINWOOD - The City of Ellinwood will purchase property at 511 E. Santa Fe to provide additional storage of city equipment, the Ellinwood City Council decided at its meeting on Tuesday. An open-front shed will be built on the property which is located east of the city shop.
CLAFLIN - Claflin High School and Claflin Elementary School have both received the Governor's Achievement Awards for the 2010-11 school year, and Ellinwood's St. Joseph School have also received the award.
