HOISINGTON - Clara Barton Hospital broke ground Tuesday evening on its expansion project that actually began earlier this year. They are adding a 5,577 square foot addition for Therapy Services and internal laundry facilities.

ELLINWOOD -The Ellinwood High School Forensics Team competed at the KSHSAA 2A State Forensics Championships held at Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita on Saturday, May 3. Competing with a team of only four students and a total of seven entries, EHS placed 6th out of 35 schools.

Ten vehicles were involved in multiple crashes in western Barton County Monday afternoon due to low visibility from blowing dust shortly after 4 p.m. Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir said an additional four vehicles were in the ditch to avoid crashing.

ELLINWOOD - High school students participating in the St. Joseph PSR will be having a breakfast/brunch fundraiser from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 19 at St. Joseph Parish Center in Ellinwood. Cost is a free will offering with proceeds going towards the PSR mission trip and local charities.
