Habitat for Humanity Hopes to raise $15,000 with upcoming dinner theater
With only a few months left until Habitat for Humanity plans to break ground on their next building project, the nonprofit organization's board is hosting their second-annual "Barton County's Got Talent" dinner theater with hopes for raising at least $15,000. These funds will be acquired through a combination of ticket sales, table sponsorships from local business, and free will donations at the event.

The jobless rate in Kansas dipped from 6.7 to 6.4 percent from September to October as state businesses gained over 6,000 jobs since this time last year, the Kansas Department of Labor reported this week. This was the same unemployment rate at October 2009.
