Christiansen Reunion
August A. Christiansen and Pruella Hager were married May 4, 1890. The union produced nine off-springs. This reunion had some of the many descendants present. Marjorie Long 91 of Ellinwood is the last surviving off-spring was unable to attend due to illness.
GBHS Class of 1947 reunion
The Great Bend High School Class of 1947 will hold a reunion at noon on Sept. 3 at the Highland Restaurant, pool side. Visitors are welcome.
Rziha - Koester Family Reunion
The Rziha-Koester family reunion was held on July 30 at Camp Aldrich. The day started with lunch served by The Wheatland Cafe of Hudson. A memorial service was held for the three members who have passed away since our last reunion held two years ago. The afternoon was spent with picture taking, swimming, visiting and a silent auction also took place. Fr. Dermont Tighe celebrated Mass for the families. A hot dog feed concluded the day.
Mauler Reunion
The Mauler family reunion, for descendents of Joseph and Johann Mauler, will be held starting at 12:30 p.m. with a potluck dinner, on Aug. 28 at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Street.
Hoisington Class of 1971 reunion
Hoisington High Class of 1971 will hold a reunion at 7 p.m., Sept. 3 at 1151 NE 20th Ave. Classmates are to bring their own beverages and snack or finger food. Ronnie and the Rockets will be playing. Visitors are welcome to stop by.
Scheuerman Reunion
The annual reunion of family and friends of Conrad and Rosa Matal Scheuerman was held Aug. 6 and 7 at Camp Aldrich. The family gathered Saturday for a barbecue, swimming and games. Sunday activities included a church service conducted by Todd Scheuerman, dinner and swimming. The reunion ended Monday with breakfast at Perkins restaurant.
Reichel Family Reunion
Sixty-nine members of the George Sr. and Mary Reichel family gathered on July 9 and 10, for a family reunion. The larger group met on Sunday at the Community Building in Rush Center. They joined in the Lord's Prayer and a delicious meal prepared by descendants of Mary and Ferdinand Foos was served. Don Simmons furnished a large decorated carrot cake honoring the July 10 birthday of Martie Dial.
Oetken family reunion
The 69th annual John Oetken Family Reunion was held on July 17 at the Youth Building in Schnack-Lowery Park in Larned. The reunion was hosted by the Harry Oetken family.
Christiansen Reunion
The annual Christiansen family reunion will be held on Aug. 13 at the Community Center in Larned. There will be a potluck lunch starting at noon.
GBHS Class of '61 to hold 50-year reunion
The Great Bend High School Class of 1961 will hold its 50-year reunion Aug. 12-13 at the Best Western Angus Inn, 2920 10th St. Alumni, teachers and friends are welcome. Activities start at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, in the Angus Inn courtyard, with a dinner at 7 p.m. On Saturday there will be golf, a tour of the high school, and a dinner at 7 p.m.
Schneweis family reunion
The descendents of the Emil and Josephine Zorn Schneweis family held their family reunion July 9 at Camp Aldrich. A meal was catered by Lone Wolf Restaurant of Ellinwood. Picture taking, swimming, visiting and door prizes took place. Mark Hill of Hoxie welcomed all. Mary Stewart of Great Bend awarded prizes. Francis Schneweis of Guymon, Okla. introduced Edwin Schneweis of Great Bend, leading the group in prayer.
Tompkins Family Reunion
The annual Tompkins reunion, family of the late John and Abi Tompkins of the Byers area, was held July 17, at the IOOF Hall in St. John, with 34 relatives attending.
Scheuerman Reunion
The Conrad and Rosa Matal Scheuerman annual reunion of family and friends will be held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 6 with a BBQ, swimming and games at Camp Aldrich. Activities will continue at Camp Aldrich on Aug. 7 with a church service at 9:45 a.m., pot-luck dinner at 11:30 a.m., swimming and games.
Annual Deckert, Irion, and Holmes family reunion
The annual Deckert, Irion, and Holmes family reunion, descendants of William and Rosa Baldwin who settled in Pawnee County in the late 1800s, was held July 17 at the Garfield Community Center. Family members are from the three Baldwin daughters, Ethel Deckert, Clara Irion, and Bessie Holmes. The reunion has been held annually on the third Sunday of July since the late 1940s. Clarabel Price Rohr is the last surviving grandchild of the 17 grandchildren. ...
Chase All School Reunion
The Chase All School Reunion will take place from Sept. 22 to Sept. 24. Early registration will be at 3 p.m. on Sept. 22 at the Ramada (formerly the Plaza Hotel) in Hutchinson. Registration, open house at the high school, a pig roast meal and the Chase High School Homecoming football game will be held on Sept. 23. A banquet and dance will be held on Sept. 24 in the evening. Scheuerman Reunion
The Scheuerman Reunion will be held at 12.30 p.m. on June 2 at the Rush Center City Hall on Hwy 96 in Rush Center. A potluck dinner will be held and everyone is asked to notify family members and bring table service. Drinks will be furnished. Bring pictures and paper clippings to share.
