Descendants of Mathias and Anna Marie Heckel gathered to celebrate their 74th annual reunion, on Aug. 28, at the United Church of Christ in Ellinwood.
August A. Christiansen and Pruella Hager were married May 4, 1890. The union produced nine off-springs. This reunion had some of the many descendants present. Marjorie Long 91 of Ellinwood is the last surviving off-spring was unable to attend due to illness.

The Rziha-Koester family reunion was held on July 30 at Camp Aldrich. The day started with lunch served by The Wheatland Cafe of Hudson. A memorial service was held for the three members who have passed away since our last reunion held two years ago. The afternoon was spent with picture taking, swimming, visiting and a silent auction also took place. Fr. Dermont Tighe celebrated Mass for the families. A hot dog feed concluded the day.
The Mauler family reunion, for descendents of Joseph and Johann Mauler, will be held starting at 12:30 p.m. with a potluck dinner, on Aug. 28 at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Street.
Hoisington High Class of 1971 will hold a reunion at 7 p.m., Sept. 3 at 1151 NE 20th Ave. Classmates are to bring their own beverages and snack or finger food. Ronnie and the Rockets will be playing. Visitors are welcome to stop by.
The annual reunion of family and friends of Conrad and Rosa Matal Scheuerman was held Aug. 6 and 7 at Camp Aldrich. The family gathered Saturday for a barbecue, swimming and games. Sunday activities included a church service conducted by Todd Scheuerman, dinner and swimming. The reunion ended Monday with breakfast at Perkins restaurant.
Sixty-nine members of the George Sr. and Mary Reichel family gathered on July 9 and 10, for a family reunion. The larger group met on Sunday at the Community Building in Rush Center. They joined in the Lord's Prayer and a delicious meal prepared by descendants of Mary and Ferdinand Foos was served. Don Simmons furnished a large decorated carrot cake honoring the July 10 birthday of Martie Dial.
The 69th annual John Oetken Family Reunion was held on July 17 at the Youth Building in Schnack-Lowery Park in Larned. The reunion was hosted by the Harry Oetken family.

Activities start at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, in the Angus Inn courtyard, with a dinner at 7 p.m. On Saturday there will be golf, a tour of the high school, and a dinner at 7 p.m.
The Walt Vincent Iwo lima Reunion and Dinner will be held on May 2, at the Arden H. McKee American Legion Post #128, 108 East Garfield in Sterling. The door will open at 4 p.m. for conversation, refreshments, and viewing of war/military memorabilia. All veterans are invited and encouraged to bring personal memorabilia. Colors will be presented at 6 p.m. followed by dinner. The meal will cost $12 per person, at the door. Menu will be tossed salad, choice of baked smothered steak or fried chicken, potato, green beans, bread, and dessert, coffee, or tea. Food substitution ...
The 12th Highlander Reunion and Car Show will be held on April 18, at the Marriott Hotel, 9100 Corporate Hills Drive, Wichita. The car show will run from 1 to 4 p.m. in the hotel parking lot. Admission and entry are free. Dinner and a short program will be held at the hotel from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., by reservation.
