The annual Hathaway reunion (families of the 12 children of the late John William and Reno Hathaway) was held June 29, at the I.O.O.F. Lodge in St. John with 80 people attending.
The Otis-Bison Alumni Association is busy planning for the next All-School Reunion scheduled for May 23-25, 2014, Memorial Day Weekend, in Otis. Any former student, faculty, employee or anyone with other connections to Otis-Bison is invited. This includes those who attended the old Otis or Bison high schools before unification.
The annual reunion of the descendents of Adam and Clara (Hanslick) Hejny was held on June 2 at the Great Bend Recreation Center. A pot luck lunch was served. Hosts for the occasion were Leonard and Luanne French with help from cousins.

The Scheuerman Reunion was held on June 2 at the Rush Center City Hall. There were 14 in attendance from the Conrad Scheuerman family. Several shared about family interests or something exciting that they have done.

The 10th Annual Highlander Reunion and Car Show will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on April 20 at the Marriott Hotel parking lot, 9100 Corporate Hills Drive (north on Webb Road and Kellogg). Admission and entry is free with a free dash plaque for each entry. Dinner and a short program by Hank Denning, President of the Sunflower Rod and Custom and the Great Bend Drag Strip, on the History of the National Championship Drags, will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the hotel. Menus are subject to change without notice. Milk served with all meals. All meals as offered meet USDA nutritional guidelines.
The Staudinger family reunion was held Nov. 23 at Dubuque Community Center. The family thanks the Nick Weber family for making it available for them.
The Depperschmidt family reunion was held on Nov. 24 at the Best Western in Great Bend. The family thanks the Best Western for a safe environment for their family get together. Mandy Huntley of Great Bend and Jennifer Wendel of Holcomb provided the cooking. Mary Depperschmidt of Great Bend and Charles Depperschmidt of LaCrosse made the reunion possible. Joan Fincher of LaCrosse provided transportation.
Great Bend High School Class of 1957 held their 55th reunion on Sept. 28, 29, and 30 at the Best Western Black Angus Courtyard. Sixty-eight classmates attended with over 110 people total in attendance. The time was spend visiting, sharing and making memories and paying tribute to their 60 deceased classmates.
The Peter A.R. Unruh and Sarah Boese Unruh Family Reunion was held on Nov. 4 at the Barton County Historical Society in Great Bend. Those in attendance were Dwayne and Janis Deckert, Don and Brenda, Julietha, Sarah and William Jones, all of Great Bend; Glenn and Elaine Mull of Pawnee Rock; Larry Carr and Keith Mull of Larned; Brad and Jeanine Haynes of Salina; Laramie and Michelle Unruh of Valley Center; and Vera Spencer and Leslie Peters of Wichita.
