The Rziha-Koester family reunion was held on July 30 at Camp Aldrich. The day started with lunch served by The Wheatland Cafe of Hudson. A memorial service was held for the three members who have passed away since our last reunion held two years ago. The afternoon was spent with picture taking, swimming, visiting and a silent auction also took place. Fr. Dermont Tighe celebrated Mass for the families. A hot dog feed concluded the day.
Hoisington High Class of 1971 will hold a reunion at 7 p.m., Sept. 3 at 1151 NE 20th Ave. Classmates are to bring their own beverages and snack or finger food. Ronnie and the Rockets will be playing. Visitors are welcome to stop by.
The annual reunion of family and friends of Conrad and Rosa Matal Scheuerman was held Aug. 6 and 7 at Camp Aldrich. The family gathered Saturday for a barbecue, swimming and games. Sunday activities included a church service conducted by Todd Scheuerman, dinner and swimming. The reunion ended Monday with breakfast at Perkins restaurant.
Sixty-nine members of the George Sr. and Mary Reichel family gathered on July 9 and 10, for a family reunion. The larger group met on Sunday at the Community Building in Rush Center. They joined in the Lord's Prayer and a delicious meal prepared by descendants of Mary and Ferdinand Foos was served. Don Simmons furnished a large decorated carrot cake honoring the July 10 birthday of Martie Dial.
The Great Bend High School Class of 1961 will hold its 50-year reunion Aug. 12-13 at the Best Western Angus Inn, 2920 10th St. Alumni, teachers and friends are welcome. Activities start at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, in the Angus Inn courtyard, with a dinner at 7 p.m. On Saturday there will be golf, a tour of the high school, and a dinner at 7 p.m.
The descendents of the Emil and Josephine Zorn Schneweis family held their family reunion July 9 at Camp Aldrich. A meal was catered by Lone Wolf Restaurant of Ellinwood. Picture taking, swimming, visiting and door prizes took place. Mark Hill of Hoxie welcomed all. Mary Stewart of Great Bend awarded prizes. Francis Schneweis of Guymon, Okla. introduced Edwin Schneweis of Great Bend, leading the group in prayer.

The annual Deckert, Irion, and Holmes family reunion, descendants of William and Rosa Baldwin who settled in Pawnee County in the late 1800s, was held July 17 at the Garfield Community Center. Family members are from the three Baldwin daughters, Ethel Deckert, Clara Irion, and Bessie Holmes. The reunion has been held annually on the third Sunday of July since the late 1940s. Clarabel Price Rohr is the last surviving grandchild of the 17 grandchildren. The Chase All School Reunion will take place from Sept. 22 to Sept. 24. Early registration will be at 3 p.m. on Sept. 22 at the Ramada (formerly the Plaza Hotel) in Hutchinson. Registration, open house at the high school, a pig roast meal and the Chase High School Homecoming football game will be held on Sept. 23. A banquet and dance will be held on Sept. 24 in the evening. The Scheuerman family reunion was held on June 5, at the Rush Center City Hall. There were 25 in attendance from the Conrad and Henry Scheuerman families.
