School volunteers are needed to listen to students read, to eat lunch with students and to be mentors. EARS volunteers (Everyone Able to Read by Sharing) go into elementary schools and listen to school-age children read. YouthFriends is a school-based mentoring program where volunteers take 40 minutes a week to eat lunch and do an activity with their student. For more time flexibility, Big Brothers Big Sisters activities are often completed outside of school hours. Choose where you want to volunteer and start making a difference in a young person's life today.
