As our college boys conclude their perpetual Christmas break (What's it been? Two months?), I offer 10 sure things with college kids and their phones.
"I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service and my health to better living, for my club, my community, my country and my world." 4-H members across the nation repeat this pledge at the beginning of every meeting. The overall goal in 4-H is to "Make the Best Better." There are many activities and events that help our youth accomplish these goals.

RSVP wants to thank all of Santa's helpers that made lap robes for residents of the Barton County assisted living and nursing facilities during the past year. RSVP delivered 84 lap robes to three nursing facilities and four assisted living facilities for residents in need during the holiday season. This is more than we have ever delivered and it is all because of generous gifts of time and talent by a group of dedicated volunteers. You know who you are. Thank you so much!
