Great Bend firefighters made nine ambulance runs Friday, three Saturday and three Sunday. At 6:06 p.m. Friday they performed a carbon monoxide check at 2200 Franklin St. At 7:26 a.m. Saturday they responded to 1513 Broadway Ave. for an arcing transformer.

Great Bend Fire Department Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Thursday. There were no fires. Barton County Sheriff A car hit a turkey at 7:12 a.m. Wednesday on North U.S. 281 at NW 70 Road. Great Bend Fire Department Firefighters made two ambulance runs Monday, five Tuesday and five Wednesday. At 2:26 p.m. Tuesday units responded to Walmart for a report of a register on fire.
