Woman said she was pushed from car

A Great Bend woman suffered possible injuries to her face, hip, knee and foot after reportedly being pushed from her boyfriend's moving car Wednesday afternoon. Great Bend Police Department is investigating the domestic call that turned into an alleged aggravated battery.

Hot bearing starts stubble fire

Approximately four acres of wheat stubble were burned in a field fire Tuesday afternoon. Great Bend Fire Department dispatched trucks to a field 3.5 miles south of town on U.S. 281 around 4:55 p.m. Fire Chief Mike Napolitano said a hot bearing on the combine started the fire.
