A motorcyclist was taken to the Lyons Hospital with possible injuries after an accident Saturday afternoon in Rice County.
The Great Bend Recreation Commission will offer an American Red Cross lifeguard certification course March 16-21 at the Barton Community College pool. GBRC offers the ARC Water Park Lifeguard training class. This class includes CPR for the professional rescuer, AED, and first aid. This is a 24-31-hour course.

ELLSWORTH - A fixed-wing aircraft crashed Thursday at the Ellsworth Municipal Airport as the pilot was attempting to land. The pilot was not injured.
