Two people from Bazine were taken to the Ness County Hospital on Wednesday after a car struck another car making a U-turn on K-96, half a mile west of Bazine in Ness County. Kansas Highway Patrol responded to three injury accidents Thursday on Interstate 70. The first accident occurred at 4:25 a.m. in Trego County, 1.5 miles east of Collier. Man dies after motorcycle hits deer

A 38-year-old Ellinwood man died Monday night after the motorcycle he was driving hit at deer on U.S. 56. Daniel J. Otipoby was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital.
