The purchase of a four-sided scoreboard for the Barton Community College Gymnasium is on the agenda for the next BCC Board of Trustees meeting, set for 4 p.m. Thursday in room F-30, the Seminar Room of the Fine Arts Building. Cost with installation will be over $62,000, but private funds have been raised to cover $45,000 of the cost. The last scoreboard was installed in 1986.

WICHITA - A Rice County woman has been sentenced to two years federal probation in connection with a cattle fraud scheme, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said Friday. In addition, she was ordered to pay $80,487 in restitution.
