Recreation commission starts its 2012 exercise classes
The New Year sessions of exercise classes offered by the Great Bend Recreation Commission got under way Wednesday, but it's not too late to enroll, GBRC Program Coordinator Garet Fitzpatrick said.

Grief support group starts Jan. 16
Golden Belt Home Health & Hospice (GBHH&H) will sponsor a Monday evening grief support group in Great Bend from Jan. 16 through March 12. Great Bend Public Library, 1409 Williams St., will show "Kung Fu Panda 2" as the first after-school movie of 2012, at 3:30 p.m. Friday. The Golden Belt Community Concert Association will host its annual meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at the Rosewood Furniture Gallery annex, 1607 Main, Great Bend. Legislative Coffees set for 2012
The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce has released the dates of the 2012 Legislative Coffees. The public will be able to meet with elected officials on Jan. 28, Feb. 25 and March 24. Kansas Highway Patrol responded to three injury accidents Thursday on Interstate 70. The first accident occurred at 4:25 a.m. in Trego County, 1.5 miles east of Collier.
