Kiwanis plan Easter egg hunt
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Great Bend Noon Kiwanis club is set for 9:30 a.m. sharp on Saturday, April 23. Entertainment served with baked potatoes at senior potluck
Great Bend Senior Center's monthly potluck dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave. This month's dinner will feature a baked potato bar. The fee is $1.50 for the baked potato and toppings. Participants are asked to bring a covered dish and their own table services to the dinner. Entertainment will be provided. Crime Stoppers seeks stolen trailer and four-wheelers
Crime Stoppers is seeking information about the theft of a black enclosed trailer and the two Yamaha Banshie four-wheelers inside it. Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings said the tailer was stolen from 1201 Jackson St. sometime between 6 p.m. on March 22 and 8:30 a.m. on March 23. Legal aid available for senior citizens
A legal representative will be at the Great Bend Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave., from 1-2 p.m. Thursday to provide free legal advice to senior citizens ages 60 and over. Those planning to use the service are asked to call the Senior Center, 792-3906, to make an appointment.
Barton music students to present recital Thursday night
The Barton Community College Department of Music will present a student recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel, located in Barton's Fine Arts Building, F-157. A Great Bend man was allegedly battered by four other people, Saturday night or early Sunday at the Kwik Shop at 24th and Main. The Great Bend Middle School Band Department will be having their spring band concerts on Thursday at the Great Bend Middle School gym. The 7th Grade Band the GBMS Jazz Ensemble concert will begin at 6:45 p.m. The 8th Grade Band and the GBMS Jazz Ensemble concert will begin at 8:15 p.m. The concerts are free and open to the public.
