Criminal damage to property on 10th St. was reported Sunday afternoon. There were broken windows at Playa Azul Mexican Restaurant, 4909 10th St.; and at 5205 10th St. and 5215 10th St.
Tuition on college agenda
The Barton Community College Board of Trustees will set tuition rates for Fiscal Year 2012 when it meets at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Room F-30, in the lower level of the Fine Arts Building. Other items on the agenda include a report on finances, college audit review and hiring personnel.
USD 428 Board of Education meeting
The USD 428 Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. on Monday at the District Education Office, 201 South Patton Road. Items on the agenda include recognition of Great Bend High School 5A State Wrestling champions, approval of the 2011-2012 school calendar, approval to purchase computer hardware and software, approval to sell used computers, a bullying workshop, and Teacher Evaluation Committee update.
Multiple burglaries reported
Great Bend police received reports of several burglaries on Tuesday morning.
Presbyterian Church plans annual St. Patrick's Irish stew
First Presbyterian Church in Great Bend will hold its annual St. Patrick's Irish Stew meal on St. Patrick's Day, member Earl Fox reports.

Pastor Clay will be giving out commodities from 5 to 6 p.m. on March 14 at the SRS building on Patton Road.
USD 403 Kindergarten Roundup
Otis-Bison USD 403 will have kindergarten screening on April 8. Any student who will attain the age of five on or before Aug. 31 may enroll in kindergarten for the 2011-2012 school year. If you have a child eligible for kindergarten, contact the district office at 785-387-2201 to schedule a screening time.

Free computer classes offered at Great Bend library
Presbyterian Women’s Rummage Sale to be held Saturday
Presbyterian Women of Great Bend will hold their annual Rummage Sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon, in the church Fellowship Hall at 24th and Washington. Funds raised by the rummage sale are contributed by Presbyterian Women to local charities and service organizations in Barton County, as well as to national and worldwide missions. Sponsors said a wide variety of minimally priced useful items in good condition will be for sale.
Annual pancake feed next Thursday, March 10
The Great Bend Noon Kiwanis Club will sponsor its 53rd-annual Pancake Day from 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Expo One Building west of Great Bend on 10th Street. Pancakes, sausage and a beverage are $3. Tickets are available in advance from any Kiwanis club member or at the door. Crime Stoppers seeks tips on equipment theft
Crime Stoppers of Barton County and Great Bend is seeking information about the theft of equipment belonging to Classic Well service. Sometime between 6 p.m. on Feb. 18 and 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 21, elevators (used to hoist pipe) for a double drum pulling unit were stolen from a well site in the 5400 block of Second Street in Great Bend. Man battered at convenience store made multiple calls to police
A Great Bend man was allegedly battered by four other people, Saturday night or early Sunday at the Kwik Shop at 24th and Main. The Great Bend Middle School Band Department will be having their spring band concerts on Thursday at the Great Bend Middle School gym.
