Otis-Bison USD 403 will have kindergarten screening on April 8. Any student who will attain the age of five on or before Aug. 31 may enroll in kindergarten for the 2011-2012 school year. Presbyterian Women’s Rummage Sale to be held Saturday

Presbyterian Women of Great Bend will hold their annual Rummage Sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon, in the church Fellowship Hall at 24th and Washington. Funds raised by the rummage sale are contributed by Presbyterian Women to local charities and service organizations in Barton County, as well as to national and worldwide missions. Sponsors said a wide variety of minimally priced useful items in good condition will be for sale.

Annual pancake feed next Thursday, March 10

Man dies after motorcycle hits deer

A 38-year-old Ellinwood man died Monday night after the motorcycle he was driving hit at deer on U.S. 56. Daniel J. Otipoby was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital.
