The Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Great Bend Noon Kiwanis club is set for 9:30 a.m. sharp on Saturday, April 23. The hunt will be at the Kiwanis Walking Track on the north side of Veterans Memorial Park, just off McKinley Street.
Great Bend Senior Center's monthly potluck dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave. This month's dinner will feature a baked potato bar. The fee is $1.50 for the baked potato and toppings. Participants are asked to bring a covered dish and their own table services to the dinner.
Crime Stoppers is seeking information about the theft of a black enclosed trailer and the two Yamaha Banshie four-wheelers inside it. Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings said the tailer was stolen from 1201 Jackson St. sometime between 6 p.m. on March 22 and 8:30 a.m. on March 23.
LYONS - The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdale horses will make an appearance in Lyons Friday afternoon.

Barton Community College will offer a Certified Medication Aide Course from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, May 7 through June 11. Barton Community College has announced enrollment times for its summer 2011 outreach courses. The college's summer bulletin of classes lists all outreach courses and workshops. Bulletins are available at area libraries and high schools. Enrollment for outreach classes in Russell is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at Russell High School. Courses include English Composition I (ITV), Introduction to Sociology (ITV), English Composition II and College Algebra. An orange and gray Trek bicycle was stolen from Golden Belt Bicycle Company, 1111 Main, on March 18. Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings reports a man asked to test drive the bike and never returned. He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, weighing 215 pounds, with red hair and a diamond earring.
A motorcyclist was taken to the Lyons Hospital with possible injuries after an accident Saturday afternoon in Rice County.
