The International Club of Larned High School is conducting a Valentine's Day Fundraiser. The money raised goes to support exchange students and for special club events.

The City of Larned regular session council meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Items on the agenda include funding for the Pawnee County Economic Development Commission, fees for mowing services on private property, grant award and request for EMS Supervisor's vehicle, request to replace water utility pickup, allocation of costs for City Wide Clean-up Day, request to increase late charge for utility bills, and grant award for fishing pond outhouse.

Larned's annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be at noon Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1111 State St. Escue Chapel, the Rev. Tony Hill, pastor, will be the host church this year. A different church member of the Pawnee County Ministerial Association hosts the event each year. A free-will offering will be accepted for the meal.
The Bradley Family will be at Escue Chapel C.M.E. Church, at 1220 Carroll St. in Larned, on Friday, Nov. 26, at 7p.m. The public is invited to come and enjoy an evening of praise in song and dance as the family gives thanks for what the Lord has done for them this past year. The Bradleys would like for anyone who has an attitude of gratitude to come and join in the celebration of Thanksgiving.
Creation of an EMS Nurse ALS Response Program has been added to the agenda for Monday night's City Council meeting in Larned. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 417 Broadway. The remainder of the agenda was published in Friday's Tribune.
Larned's City Council will have a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 417 Broadway. Council members will review a Larned Housing Authority grant award for energy efficiency improvements. They will also review and prioritize projects to be funded by a Kansas Corporation Commission grant award; consider uses and the fate of the former National Guard Armory, now owned by the city; and hear a report from City Manager Don Gaeddert.
The Pawnee County Humane Society, Inc., will be breaking ground on their new animal shelter at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the shelter site location at the corner of West 8th Street and Highway 264. Representatives from the city of Larned, Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility and the Pawnee county Humane Society, Inc. Board of Directors will be present. Refreshments will be served.
Thursday will be Taco Night at the American Legion Post Home on east Seventh Street. It will last from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Serving will be upstairs at the post home. The event is sponsored by the American Legion Riders of Post 106, Larned. Taco Night is held on the second Thursday of each month.
Several Larned stores will have Holiday Open Houses Saturday, from 3 to 9 p.m. You are encouraged to shop locally during the gift-giving season.
GARFIELD - Garfield's 86th annual turkey shoot will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Porteous Park in Garfield. Veterans' Day bingo will begin at noon. Lunch will be served by Episcopal Church members.

LARNED - The Pawnee County Health Department is pleased to announce that the agency is the recipient of a grant to provide toothbrushes, floss and toothpaste from Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation.
LARNED - The United Way of Central Kansas Stuff the Bus drive will take place in from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Dillons, 423 Main St., and Shopko, 908 E. 14th.
