Just a reminder during a winter storm Jordaan Library will be closed if the schools are closed. Announcements will be on the KSNC and KWCH TV channels and the local radio station. If the conditions are icy, call the library to find out if we are closed.
Due to the weather, the Black History Club program, Early African American Settlers, of Edwards, Hodgeman and Pawnee Counties presented by Mrs. Jane Doris has been rescheduled to Feb. 26th at 2:00 p.m. at the Escue Church in Larned.
The regular monthly meeting of the Welcome Inn Leisure Center Inc. was called to order by President Charles Wonsetler, February 2, 2011 at 12:50 p.m. In addition to Charles Wonsetler, the following board members were present: Jim Forrest, Treasurer; Betty Tauscher, Secretary and Roger Haberman, Reporter. Absent were Thelmarie Wilhite, Historian; Marylee Phinney, Vice President and Ernie Ashley, Financial Sec. . Also present were Amy Bauer, Mitchell Craft, Mary Beth Herrmann, Mona Marie Wysong, Bryon Stilts and Bobbie Sharrock.

The staff of the Santa Fe Trail Center invites the public to a unique musical presentation on Saturday, January 29th at 7 p.m. in the Center's auditorium. Jeff Davidson and the Trail Rider's Band will entertain us as we start 2011 by commemorating 150 years of statehood. This is a FREE program.

LARNED - The Pawnee County Health Department is pleased to announce that the agency is the recipient of a grant to provide toothbrushes, floss and toothpaste from Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation.
LARNED - The United Way of Central Kansas Stuff the Bus drive will take place in from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Dillons, 423 Main St., and Shopko, 908 E. 14th.
