Hillary Summons the Dead for Advice

Journalists in the mass media love to dig up dirt on Republican presidential candidates. Well, I just dug up some dirt on Hillary Clinton.

Why Are We Sending 38 Billion to Rich and Powerful Israel?

Last week's announcement of a record-breaking U.S. aid package for Israel underscores how dangerously foolish and out-of-touch is our interventionist foreign policy. Over the next ten years, the U.S. taxpayer will be forced to give Israel some $38 billion dollars in military aid. It is money we cannot afford going to a country that needs no assistance to maintain its status as the most powerful military in the Middle East.

Gary Johnson Wouldn't Appreciate My Trip to Rome

When Gary Johnson had his Aleppo moment a week ago, I was among those who could not believe his absolute incompetence. I understand that Libertarians generally take an isolationist position when it comes to foreign affairs, but it was incredibly troubling to see someone who thought he was fit to lead this country show such a lack of interest or inquisitiveness.

What's the Point of Having a Majority If GOP Doesn't Use It?

Last week, during an aside in his speech at the Values Voters Summit, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Tx.) shared an insight into the timid appeasers comprising GOP congressional leadership. When he first entered the House in 2006, the talk was of the big things the Republican majority was going to accomplish.

Hillary and Bill - The Old Couple

Now that the health of Hillary has become a serious issue in the mainstream media and not just a dirty alt-right rumor, maybe someone should carry Bill Clinton down to the nearest clinic for a checkup.

Have-Nots Still Come Up Short

The brightest economic news in years shows that median household income in the U.S. has climbed to $56,516. And get this: It means that most Americans need only $49,943,484 in additional earnings or net worth to qualify for a fill up at a gas station to be built in Greenwich, Conn. (more about which in a moment).

New York's Bizarre Nuclear Bailout

States with nuclear power plants are grappling with a highly unusual conundrum. The plants are running significant operating losses, but allowing them to be shut down would, paradoxically, significantly increase electric bills, because new energy sources to replace them would be considerably more expensive.

2016 Election: Crash, Burn and Repeat

We might as well be watching a 30-car pile-up the way Americans are holding hands over their eyes trying to avoid the grisly bits of the most grotesque presidential race we have witnessed in this, the second decade of the 21st Century. Of course, it's only the 2nd election during that time, but still.

The Fed Plans for the Next Crisis

In her recent address at the Jackson Hole monetary policy conference, Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen suggested that the Federal Reserve would raise interest rates by the end of the year. Markets reacted favorably to Yellen's suggested rate increase. This is surprising, as, except for one small increase last year, the Federal Reserve has not followed through on the numerous suggestions of rate increases that Yellen and other Fed officials have made over the past several years.
