EUREKA - Junior Raymond Watts, of Eureka, died at his residence on Aug. 13, at the age of 84. Born in Quincy on Feb. 3, 1928, he was the son of Charlie Otho and Ruby Marie (Crouch) Watts. Junior was raised in Quincy and attended school there. After his schooling, he went to work in the oil fields as a truck driver. His truck driving nickname was "Big Iron." He retired in 1990, due to poor health.

ST. JOHN - Kenneth T. Siebert, 85, died Aug. 11 at South Wind Hospice House in Pratt. Born June 14, 1927 in rural Pawnee County, he was the son of Theodore R. and Mildred (Kerns) Siebert. A graduate of Radium High School and life-long resident of St. John, he was owner of Siebert Automotive since 1969. On June 12, 1951, he married Mildred M. (Steiner) at Great Bend. She survives.
MEDICINE LODGE - Gerald "Jerry" Willms, 48, died Aug. 12 at his home in Medicine Lodge. Born on Dec. 4, 1963 in Great Bend, he was the son of Dan and Connie (Ginest) Willms. On Dec. 6, 2008 he married Tammy L. Bishop at Medicine Lodge. She survives.
HOISINGTON - Frances G. (Berger) Ellington, 86, died Aug. 12 at Russell Regional Hospital. Born April 14, 1926 at Blanchard, Mich., she was the daughter of Clinton F. and Lucy Viola (DeGroat) Smalley.

HAYS - Lawrence "Larry" Frenzl, 84, died Aug. 8 at his home. Born May 10, 1928, in Odin, he was the son of Hugo and Matilda (Hoffner) Frenzl. On Aug. 29, 1952, he married Edna Kolste in Bentonville, Ark. He attended Odin Catholic School and worked as a superintendant with Reece Construction Co. in Scandia from 1949 through 1984, with two years leave to serve in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952. He also worked at McClaren Ford, Hays Pathology Lab, and Paul MacDonald Chevrolet before retiring in 1992.
Vivian M. Chalfant, 75, died Aug. 8 at her home in Great Bend. Born Nov. 21, 1936, in Annes, she was the daughter of Johnny and Mildred (Thompson) True. On April 5, 1958, she married Don Chalfant in Hutchinson. A resident of Great Bend for 48 years, coming from Hays, she was a retired secretary.
HUDSON - Richard Bernhard Fischer, 94, died Aug. 7, 2012 at Ellinwood District Hospital.
Kenneth L. "Kenny" Blair, 83, passed away on Friday morning, April 24, 2015, at Almost Home Inc. in Great Bend. Born Sept. 4, 1931, in Braggs, Oklahoma, he was the son of Riley and Mary Belle (McMillan) Blair. In 1949, he came to Great Bend. On Jan. 21, 1951, he was united in marriage to Garnetta E. Queen in Great Bend. He drove a truck for Graves Truck Lines of Great Bend for over 40 years, and later worked for Bentley & Associates in Great Bend for several years, delivering parts and working in the shop. WICHITA - Russell L. Sater, 83, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2015. He was a retired operating superintendent for Kansas Gas Service and the Treasurer of Gasco Credit Union.
UTICA - Linda Lee Dodrill, 70, passed away at Via Christi Hospital St. Francis, Wichita, on April 8, 2015. She was born on May 18, 1944, in Ransom, the daughter of Joseph D. and Maxine Hansen Cheney. On Sept. 15, 1963, she married Donald Dodrill in Utica. He passed away on April 21, 2015.
TIMKEN - Robert L. Kraisinger, 79, died April 13, 2015, at Caney Nursing Center in Caney. Born March 24, 1936, in Timken, he was the son of Robert S. and Helen M. (Koci) Kraisinger. He was a 1953 graduate of Bison High School. On April 23, 1958, he married Angelina M. Krmela at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Olmitz. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2002. A lifelong resident of Rush County, he was a farmer and truck driver before his retirement.

LAWRENCE - Ervin Francis Huslig, 67, and Mary Ann Huslig, 62, died April 20, 2015. Ervin was born August 17, 1947, in Kingman, the son of Anton Frank and Louise (Maneth) Huslig. Mary Ann Huslig was born Sept. 9, 1952, in Hays, the daughter of James M. Hart Sr. and Cecilia (Sack) Hart.
RUSSELL - Paul George Dietz, 96, passed away April 21, 2015 at the Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born Nov. 3, 1918, on the family farm in Russell County just north of Bender Hill, he was the son of Ferdinand and Pauline (Karst) Dietz. He grew up in the Bender Hill area and graduated in the Class of 1938 from Russell High School. On June 22, 1947, he was united in marriage to Hilda Bender at the Trinity Bender Hill Lutheran Church. HOISINGTON - Ethel Jonas, 91, died April 20, 2015, at Hays Medical Center in Hay. Born on June 1, 1923, in Barton County near Susank, she was the second child of Lora Retta (Gardner) Jonas and Edmund "Edd" G. Jonas. Her brother, Walter was born in 1920. He passed away in 2005.
TIMKEN - Robert L. Kraisinger died on April 13, 2015, at Caney Nursing Center in Caney. Services are pending with Janousek Funeral Home in La Crosse.
Theresa Stanley, 73, of Great Bend, died April 19, 2015, at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. She was born Oct 3, 1941, at La Crosse, to Henry and Mathilda (Heronema) Basgall. She graduated from La Crosse High School and was united in marriage to William Stanley in 1961 at La Crosse. She worked as a cook for many Great Bend area eating establishments, including JC Penney, A & W, Central Kansas Medical Center, the Petroleum Club, Barton Community College, Black Angus and the Great Bend Senior Center prior to her retirement in 2000.
SEWARD - Ronald Lee Reneau, 57, passed away April 13, 2015 at the University of Colorado Hospital. He was born on Dec. 13, 1957, in Kiowa. He lived most of his life in the Hudson, St John and Seward area. He joined US Navy right after high school graduation and spent time in the Philippines, Japan and Hawaiian Islands. He trained with the United States Navy Seals as their Assault Coxman.
RADIUM - Marvin Leroy Brown, 75, passed away April 19, at his home in Radium. Born July 8, 1939, in Great Bend, he was the son of J.P. and Frances (Ward) Brown. A resident of Radium since 1985, he was a welder. On Feb. 14, 1985, he married Lana C. (Mettscher) in Kansas City, MO. She survives of the home.
