NEWTON - William "Bill" Alexander, 59, died Nov. 7 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita. He was born May 24, 1951, in Denver, Colo. He graduated from Mound City High School and went on to complete two years at Fort Scott Junior college. He served three years with the United States Navy. Following that, he wisely used the G.I. ELLINWOOD - Dolores Keenan Bryant, 82, died Nov. 5 at Overland Park. She w as born Sept. 5, 1928, at Great Bend, the third child and second daughter of a family of eight children born to Thomas and Martha Sheils Keenan. She married Lloyd W. Bryant on Nov. 24, 1949, at Seward. He died July 12, 2006. She was a longtime Ellinwood resident and owner of Bryant TV & Radio in Ellinwood for 40 years. She later owned and operated Riverside Petroleum for the next 20 years. She graduated from Meade High School.

HUMBOLDT - Marcell B. (Bernard) Tinkler, 88, of Humboldt, passed away Nov. 3, at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute. Bernard was born at Gypsum on Dec. 12, 1921, the son of Irl N. and Maudie M. (Mounkes) Tinkler. He served as an airborn radio operator/navigator during World War II from 1942 through 1945. James L. "Jim" Morton, 64, died Nov. 3 at his home in Great Bend. Born May 4, 1946, in Great Bend, he was the son of Loyd and Violet (Smith) Morton. On Aug. 28, 1970, he married Karen Collier in Great Bend. A resident of Great Bend since 1973, coming from Seward, he was a district manager for Halliburton for 25 years and production superintendent for Hartman Oil Company until his retirement in 2009.
HOISINGTON - Wilma Imojean Fritz, 82, died Nov. 3 at her home in Hoisington. Born Feb. 12, 1928, she was the daughter of Harrison and Mollie (Proksch) Clift). On Aug. 28, 1947, she married Kenneth L. LOVELAND, Colo. - Alvin R. Moeller was born Jan. 27, 1927, on a farm near Preston and passed from this life on Nov. 2 at his home in Loveland, Colo. He was 83 years old. PAWNEE ROCK - Ladine Peterson, 95, passed away Oct. 29 at the Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood. Born April 2, 1919, in Bison, she was the daughter of Everett and Frances Bitter Edwards. On April 3, 1941, she married Loraine Edwin Peterson in Bison. He passed away Jan. 20, 1995. A lifetime area resident of Rush and Pawnee County, she began her career as a teacher and retired from the ASCS office in Larned. She raised Persian cats and took them to many shows, and she also loved flowers.

On May 2, 1951, she married Julius J. Urban in Dubuque. He died on Oct. 27, 2003. A lifetime resident of Barton County, she was the janitorial manage at the Hoisington Veterinary Hospital for many years.
