RANSOM - Donna Mae Rolo, 80, passed away on Sept. 21, 2015, at her home in Ransom. Born on Oct. 12, 1934, in Fairmont, Neb. she was the daughter of Ruben and Rose (Ackerman) Sell. On Nov. 17, 1955, she married Wilbur "Willie" Rolo in Sutton, Neb. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1975. ST. JOHN - Judy A. (Bradford) Roberts-Anderson, 71, passed away Sept. 21, 2015, at Almost Home in Great Bend. Born on Sept. 25, 1943, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Todd Elmer and Millie L. (Carr) Bradford. A longtime resident of St. John before moving to Great Bend in 2012, she was a retired bank teller for the St. John National Bank. On May 11, 1962, she married Gary Lee Roberts in Alva, Okla. He preceded her in death as did her second husband, James Anderson.
WICHITA - Mary Lynne Garnett, 54, passed away Sept. 17, 2015, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Born Feb. 24, 1961, in Wichita, she was the daughter of Lawrence "Gus" and Donna (Kellogg) Davis. She was an LPN at Larned State Hospital.
Donna Fay Brickley, 68, died Sept. 6, 2015, at Almost Home Inc. in Great Bend. Born Feb. 28, 1947, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Thomas and Edith (Cobler) Bonham. On June 23, 1967, she married Billy Brickley in Great Bend. He survives. A resident of Lyons since 2011, coming from Great Bend and Hoisington, she was a residential caregiver for Sunflower Diversified Services and Rosewood Services.

She grew up in Hudson, graduating from Hudson High School in 1956. She was a loving wife and mother, beloved friend of many, a musician, and an artist. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance and music education in 1960 from Southwestern College in Winfield, and a Master of Music degree in 1962 from Northwestern University. Born on Feb. 15, 1926, in Marquette, she was the daughter of Mildred Josephine (Vann) and Ray Thomas Boydston. She attended the McPherson schools and she graduated from McPherson High School 1944. Arther Wayne Hunt, 83, died Sept. 17, 2015, at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Born Oct. 12, 1931, in Silver City, Okla., he was the son of Elmer and Essie D. (Browning) Hunt. On Dec. 24, 1951, he married Shirley Rae Jones in Lyons. She died on March 31, 2013, after more than 61 years of marriage. He then married Faye (Gilmore) Fredelake on Dec. 28, 2014, in Hoisington. A long-time resident of Great Bend, he was a driller for Pickrell Drilling.
Kenneth L. Tompkins, 88, of Great Bend, passed away Sept. 17, 2015, at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend. He was born on Sept. 20, 1926, on the family farm northeast of Byers in rural Stafford County, the son of Lawrence W. and Gladys I. (Miles) Tompkins. On Oct. 29, 1949, he married Fern A. Miller at Great Bend. He owned and operated Kenny's Farm Service at St. John. He was employed for 18 years by the Kansas Forestry Fish and Game Commission serving at Glen Elder Reservoir as Area Manager.
