Lyle J. Lang, 73, died Feb. 15, at his home in Great Bend. Born Feb. 15, 1942, in Great Bend, he was the son of Frank and Gertrude (Eckert) Lang. On Oct. 24, 1966, he married Nancy Weber in Great Bend. They later divorced. A lifetime area resident, he was a truck driver for Meadow Gold Dairy, Santa Fe Trucking and Kansas Brick and Tile.
ELLINWOOD - Frank Slade Zamarripa Jr., 45, died Feb. 13, 2015, in Ness County. He was born April 26, 1969, at Great Bend, to Frank and Gloria K. (Kincaid) Zamarripa. He married Donita Kay Morris Nov. 1, 1997, at Great Bend.
SYLVIA – Daniel B. Burgey Jr., 63, died Feb. 11, 2015, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. Born Sept. 12, 1951, he was the son of Daniel B. and Beverly Clark Burgey. On Aug. 25, 1977, he married Kathy Jo Bruer. She died Feb. 21, 2009.
QUINTER - James Rayford Millwee, 84, died Feb. 9, 2015, at the Gove County LTCF in Quinter. He was born Oct. 26, 1930, on a farm outside Crockett, Texas, to James Sidney and Lou Ella Morgan Millwee. He graduated from Austonio High School in 1947, then moved to Houston, Texas, and worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for three years.
Keith A. Ingram, 70, died Feb. 7, at his home in Great Bend. Born Sept. 18, 1944, in Kinsley, he was the son of William "Joe" and Mame Mary (Dunn) Ingram. On Nov. 5, 1996, he married Rita Cartwright in Wichita Falls, Texas. A long time resident of Great Bend, also living in Ulysses, Texas, he was a roofer for LR Parsons Roofing and Washington Roofing.
LA CROSSE - Rex W. Hafenstine, 63, died Feb. 6, at his home. Born Aug. 28, 1951, in Quinter, he was the son of Walter Nelson and Mary I. (Armbruster) Hafenstine. He was a resident of La Crosse, for 24 years, moving from Hays. In 1970 he graduated from WaKeeney High School, and attended Fort Hays State University. On Dec. 15, 1990, he married Betty Horyna in La Crosse. In the 1990s, he was employed by KDWP. Later, as a driller in the oil industry, he was employed by Murfin Drilling Company for 32 years before his retirement .
HOISINGTON - Joseph Alanson "Joe" Clarke, 86, died Feb. 8, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Aug. 23, 1928, in Norton, he was the son of Laurence Benjamin and Pearl Irene (Pierce) Clarke. On July 22, 1950, he married Carol Humphrey in Jetmore. A resident of Hoisington since 1951, coming from Jetmore, he was a driller, mechanic, and truck pusher, working for various oil companies, including Peel Bros. and Allen Drilling, retiring in 1991. ENID, Okla. - Doris "Jean" Forshee, 81, died Feb. 4 at her home in Enid, Okla. Born Aug. 9, 1933, in Alvord, Texas, she was the daughter of Baltus and Reba (Rhyne) Mosier. She grew up in Alvord, Texas, Bowie, Texas and Big Spring, Texas. She was married to John Workman, and they had three children, Datha, Dana, and Mike. On Dec. 30, 1986, she married John Forshee in Enid, Okla. She was employed for 46 years at the USAF/Civil Service. She loved music, dancing, reading, bowling, shoes, puppies, and watching her grandchildren do anything.
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. - Muriel S. Machal, 91, died April 25, at Cheyenne Mountain Care Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Born Jan. 13, 1924, in Kinsley, she was the daughter of Ray and Ida (Robbins) Stewart. On April 3, 1957, she married Joseph Anthony Machal in Great Bend, He died on Dec. 21, 1992. Reed and Mary Denise (Keenan) Carroll. He married Smo Ortiz April 7, 1995, at Lawrence. He was a boxing promoter matchmaker for Empire Sports Management and Promotion.
CLAFLIN - Diana Beth Kaeberle, 57, died April 25, at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Born Feb. 5, 1958, in Greenville, Miss., she was the daughter of Donald and Reba (Atkins) Beckum. On June 20, 1992, she married Steven Kaeberle in Wilson. A 25 year Barton County resident, living most recently in Claflin, she was a secretary for Barton Community College.

He was a 1953 graduate of Bison High School. On April 23, 1958, he married Angelina M. Krmela at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Olmitz. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2002. A lifelong resident of Rush County, he was a farmer and truck driver before his retirement.
