HOISINGTON - Joan Nuss, 86, died May 10 at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood. Born March 18, 1925, in Bessemer, Mich., she was the daughter of Guy and Angela (Larese) Marzari. On April 10, 1948, she married Glen W. Nuss in Hoisington. He died March 21, 2006. A Hoisington resident for 50 years, she worked for USD 431 as a teachers aid.

On Aug 17, 1990 he married Linda Diane Heglin in Kodiak, Alaska. She survives. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an electrician and recently worked at Orscheln's in Great Bend.

BELPRE - Helen R. Berscheidt, 94, died April 19, at the Halstead Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Nov. 22, 1918, she was the daughter of Matt and Martha Heinke Maes. On Feb. 4, 1941 she married John N. Berscheidt in Claflin. He passed away in 1974. A lifetime area resident she was a farmwife and an occupational therapist for the Larned State Hospital for 25 years.
