MCPHERSON -Virginia Edna Saling-Marx, 85, of McPherson, passed away Monday, Feb. 21 while in the company of family members at Hospice House, Hutchinson. Mrs Marx was born in Bazine on Oct. 14, 1925, the daughter of George and Lizzie (Dell) Stieben - Adolph. Virginia attended the Bazine grade schools and attended Bazine High School, Bazine, Kansas.

EDMOND, Okla. - Elsie Keil Herber, 95, died on Feb. 16, at Edmond, Okla. She was born Dec. 5, 1915, at Galatia, the daughter of Benjamin and Bertha Strecker Keil. She grew up and attended school in the Galatia, Milberger area. She worked for many years as a housekeeper in Russell. GREAT BEND - William "Bill" Feist, 78, died Feb. 23 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. He was born May 2, 1932 near Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Barton County, the son of Conrad and Viola (Liebl) Feist.

Lloyd “Bus”G. Lewis 1918 — 2011
LARNED - Lloyd George Lewis, 92, known to many friends and family as "Bus," died Monday afternoon at Hays Regional Medical Center, after suffering a heart attack earlier in the day. Lloyd would have been 93 April 27. The previous Saturday Lloyd had driven to his son's and daughter-in-law's homes to watch his favorite team, the Kansas Jayhawks, play the Colorado Buffaloes.

HAYS – Alex Fredrick Bisterfeldt, age 90, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at the Hays Good Samaritan Center, Hays,. He was born May 21, 1920, in rural Ellsworth County to Carl and Dorothea (Funk) Bisterfeldt. He married Theresa (Short) on Oct.26, 1946, at Hays. She died Septe. 9, 2000.

Dan Allen Noblitt, 78, died May 4 at his home in Great Bend. Born Oct. 16, 1934 in Great Bend, he was the son of George O. and Edith (Marsh) Noblitt. On April 18, 1958 he married Thelma Beebe in Norwalk, Calif. A long time resident of Great Bend, he was most recently employed as a regional manager for Super 8 Motels.

BELPRE - Helen R. Berscheidt, 94, died April 19, at the Halstead Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Nov. 22, 1918, she was the daughter of Matt and Martha Heinke Maes. On Feb. 4, 1941 she married John N. Berscheidt in Claflin. He passed away in 1974. A lifetime area resident she was a farmwife and an occupational therapist for the Larned State Hospital for 25 years.
