LARNED - M. Earl McBride, 95, died Jan. 22 at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned. Born Sept. 2, 1915, at Kinsley, he was the son of Edgar and Elsie Miller McBride. On April 30, 1937, he married Fern Myers in Fellsburg. He was a farmer.
VICTORIA - Landry Michael Robben, infant son of Jason and Nicole (Watts) Robben, died Jan. 21 at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. He was born Jan. 5, 2011, in Kansas City, Mo.
Robert Zane "Pete" Wilson, 78, died Jan. 23 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Feb. 21, 1932, at Glade, the son of Edward and Zela (Elliott) Wilson. He married Imogene Barnes on Jan. 2, 1953. They were later divorced. He was a carpenter for Albert Lumber Yard and later worked as a self-employed carpenter. He had been a Great Bend resident since 1998, coming from Ellinwood and Albert.
HOISINGTON - Joseph J. Rziha, 94, died Jan. 23 at Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington. Arrangements will be announced by Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington.
ROCK VALLEY, Iowa - Florine Elizabeth (Nuss) Arend, 78, died Jan. 17 at Hegg Memorial Hospital. She was born April 27, 1932 in Galatia. Services were held last Thursday in Rock Valley.

HOISINGTON - Ronald Dean Beary, 61, died Jan. 21 at his home in Hoisington. He was born NOv. 19, 1949 at Kansas City, Mo. the son of Jack and Majorie (Young) Beary.
GREAT BEND - Lou Ann Ritterhouse, 77, died Jan. 22 at Central Kansas Medical Center. She was born Aug. 13, 1933 at Langley the daughter of John Amos and Irma Blanche (Kindt) Mitchell.
HORSESHOE BAY, Texas - Ruby Marie Mitchell, 85, passed away on Jan 21. She was born April 19, 1925 at Wilson, the daughter of Ruben and Lydia Nuss. She married George E. Mitchell in 1944. They celebrated 67 years of marriage and had four sons.
PAWNEE ROCK - Connie Virginia Keller, 76, died Jan. 18 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
Gerald J. "Jerry" Christiansen, 84, died Jan. 18 at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend. He was born June 13, 1926, at Barton County, the son of Ralph and Elsie (Ewing) Christiansen. He married Alice Nadine Amerine on July 14, 1946, at Great Bend. She died Dec. 12, 2010. He was a mechanic for Manweiler Chevrolet and later opened Jerry's Repair. He was a lifetime Great Bend resident.
LIBERAL - Georgia (Tyne) Valerius, 86, died Jan. 19 at her residence in Liberal. She was born July 30, 1924, in Jonesboro, Ark., the daughter of George and Ella (Gray) Munger. She married Arthur Gray (Bud) Valerius on Feb. 14, 1948, in Hoisington. He passed away July 31, 1979.

LAWRENCE - Sylvia M. Wagner, 86, died on May 2, at Brandon Woods in Lawrence. Born Feb. 24, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of John and Marie (Wollert) Schmidt. On Nov. 17, 1946, she married Duane Wagner in Ellinwood. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1991. She was a housewife and bank teller. She was an avid reader and enjoyed needlepoint.

On April 18, 1958 he married Thelma Beebe in Norwalk, Calif. A long time resident of Great Bend, he was most recently employed as a regional manager for Super 8 Motels.
BELPRE - Helen R. Berscheidt, 94, died April 19, at the Halstead Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Nov. 22, 1918, she was the daughter of Matt and Martha Heinke Maes. On Feb. 4, 1941 she married John N. Berscheidt in Claflin. He passed away in 1974. A lifetime area resident she was a farmwife and an occupational therapist for the Larned State Hospital for 25 years.
