TIMKEN - Maye Pechanec, 87, died Jan. 3 at Rush County Nursing Home in La Crosse. Born Oct. 10. 1923, she was the daughter of Mart and Jennie (Watkins) West. Clifford M. Bellinger, 84, of Great Bend, died Dec. 30 at Cherry Village in Great Bend. Born Aug. 6, 1926 in Fort Scott, he was the son of John Semple and Bonnie Gretchen McCargar Bellinger. He married Sallly Fox in 1955 in Wichita. She died in 1972. A resident of Barton and Rush counties for 21 years, residing in Great Bend, Otis and Denver, Colo., he was a retired engineering draftsman after working 35 years with Boeing.

LARNED - Charles L. Pfenninger, 93, died Dec. 31, 2010 at Larned Healthcare Center. He was born Jan. 29, 1917, near Rozel, the son of Louis J. and Ora Grace Renfro Pfenninger. On March 1, 1941, he married Della G. Eilts at Yuma, Ariz. She died Jan. 26, 2003. A lifetime resident of Pawnee County, he retired from Roth Equipment Company as vice president and was a farm machinery salesman for 40 years.

Jane Anne (Fisher) Engleman, 92, passed away peacefully at her home in Lawrence, June 6, 2013. She was born Sept. 17, 1920 in Wichita Falls, Texas, daughter of William L. and Valeria Belle (Astin) Fisher. She married the love of her life, Dale Engleman on Nov. 21, 1944 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He died Oct. 17, 2005.

MINNESOTT BEACH, N.C. - Judy Mershon Huber Wolfenbarger, 77, of Minnesott Beach, N.C., passed away June 4. Born in Chicago, Ill., on Nov. 4, 1935, she was the daughter of Andrew B. and Dorothy Mershon Huber. Her family moved to Mt. Carroll, Ill., in 1942. An accomplished pianist, guitar player and percussionist for Mt. Carroll High School, music was an important part of her life. Her quick wit and love of ironic humor lasted throughout her lifetime.
