PARKER, Colo. – Fae Amerine, 94, died May 27, 2012, at Colorado Assisted Living, Parker, Colo. She was born Oct. 29, 1917, at Thornfield, Mo., the daughter of Samuel Gordon and Alice Ruby (McAllister) Doss. She married Earl Marion Amerine July 5, 1936, at Lyons. He died March 10, 2011.
ELLINWOOD - Kenneth Secrist, 97, died May 27 at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood. Born May 12, 1915 in Linn County, he was the son of James Walter and Jenni Pearl (Robbins) Secrist. On July 29, 1938 he married Leila Jene Burris in Augusta. She died on July 25, 1998. ELLINWOOD - Imogene M. Sanko, 80, died May 29 at Country Place Senior Living in Ellinwood. Born Jan. 19, 1932 in Meade, she was the daughter of James Hayden and Hilda Cordes Hayden. On Oct. 8, 1951 she married Wilbert V. Sanko at the Cathedral in Dodge City. A resident of Ellinwood for 58 years, she was a farm wife, bus driver for USD 355 assistant to a veterinarian and a telephone operator.
Minn./Fla. - Kenneth E. Redetzke, 71, of Burnsville and Longville, Minn. and Destin, Fla., died on May 26 at his home in Florida after a nine month battle with kidney cancer. Ken was born on May 2, 1941, in Claflin, the eldest son of Vernon Redetzke and Susanna Lang Redetzke. He received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in 1963 with a degree in Agricultural Economics, played varsity baseball and was president of the Phi Kappa Theta fraternity. LANCASTER, Calif.- Stella Arlene Marker Blevins, 74, of Lancaster, Calif. lost a brief but courageous battle with cancer on May 21 with her three children by her bedside. She was born on Sept. 2, 1937 in Great Bend, and grew up in Ellinwood.
Frank Carl Buettner, 88, of Great Bend, passed away May 25 in Lindsborg. He was born April 10, 1924, in Hutchinson, the son of Harry and Mary (Walstrom) Buettner. He married Lynn Cunday in 1947 in Hutchinson. She passed away in 2003.

RUSH CENTER - Dotty Ann Kober, 83, died July 13, 2015, at Rush County Memorial Hospital in La Crosse. Born Sept. 19, 1931, in Rush Center, she was the daughter of Ernest G. and Zelma Mae (Moore) Hallett. In 1953, she married John B. Kober. He preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1990. She was a lifelong resident of Rush County. A 1949 graduate of La Crosse High School, she was a farmer. She also worked for Locust Grove Village in La Crosse for many years.
ODIN - Anna M. Hitschmann, 95, died July 14, 2015, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Dec. 31, 1919, on the farm near Odin, Kansas, the daughter of Peter J. and Louisa (Korkisch) Meyeres.
ELLINWOOD - Edna Claudine Ringwald, 83, died on July 11, 2015, in Great Bend. Born Aug. 15, 1931, at the family home in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Claude and Alice (Lovely) Ewalt. On May 18, 1952, she married Reinder Carl Ringwald in Great Bend. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2015. A lifetime resident of rural Rice County and Ellinwood, she was a housewife and actively participated with her beloved husband in their farming and livestock operation.
ALBERT- Judith J. Hrymecki, 74, passed away at her home in Albert on Sunday evening, July 12, 2015. Born Jan. 9, 1941, at White Heath, Ill., she was the daughter of Robert Dwight and Nannie Elizabeth (Parker) Robinson. On Dec. 14, 1979, she was united in marriage to John J. Hrymecki at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakley, Mich. The couple made their home in Chapin, Mich., for 15 years and then in Owosso, Mich., for 15 years prior to moving to Albert in 2009. While in Michigan, Judith worked for Universal Electric, Woodards Furniture and Ovid Convalescent Home.
Richard Alton Miller, 43, died July 13, 2015, at his home in Great Bend. Born May 31, 1972, in Long Beach, Calif., he was the son of Donald and Mary Lou Miller. He was supervisor of Campus Security at Barton Community College.
Roxie Bernice Swinger, 94, died on June 24, 2015, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born on April 4, 1921, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., she was the daughter of Alonso Noel Trent and Amy Garrett Trent. On July 20, 1940, she married Jack E. Swinger in Wichita.
STAFFORD - M. Sharon Chansler, 84, went to be with the Lord July 11, 2015, at Leisure Homestead in St. John. Born Dec. 13, 1930, at Eureka, she was the daughter of Emmett and Masil McDaniel Hall. A 1948 graduate of Langdon High School, she also attended Adalahale Business College in Hutchinson. On Dec. 24, 1950, she married Paul W. Chansler while Paul was on leave while serving with the United States Army. They were married for over 64 years. CHASE - Phillip Lee Bryant, 63, of rural Chase, passed away July 11, 2015. Born Jan. 15, 1952, in Great Bend, he was the son of Charles and Dorothy Bryant. On May 5, 1972, he married Teresa Malea Campbell in Lyons. They were married 37 years. She passed away on Nov. 15, 2009. He was employed by Silica Grain for 32 years. He was currently employed with Ellinwood Tank Service. He loved spending every minute with his family. He also enjoyed taking his grandson on trips and spending lots of time with him.
