LINCOLN, NEB. - Deanna K. Starman, Lincoln, died in the arms of Jesus on April 10, at the age of 53, surrounded by her beloved son Eric and family members. Deanna bravely battled multiple sclerosis for almost 30 years and died with dignity and grace. Her sweet nature and uplifting spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her. Deanna was born on Jan. 5, 1958, in Tilden, Neb., and grew up on a farm northeast of Petersburg, Neb. ELLINWOOD - Eunice E. Harrelson, 75, died April 5 at her home in Independence, La. She was born Feb. 24, 1936, at Tanga Pahoa, La., the daughter of Henry Devoe Spillman and Ada Belle Jenkins. She married Bobbie Glen Harrelson on Nov. 23, 1966, in New Orleans, La. He died July 13, 2010. A resident of Baptist and Independence, La., for the past 16 years, she had also lived in Valley Center, Kan., for 36 years.
PRINCETON, Mo. – Waylon Dean Wages, 33, son of Gary L. and Diane (Russett) Wages, was born in Unionville, Mo. on July 12, 1977, and passed away on April 9 near Modena, Mo.

KANSAS CITY - Donald E. McCosh, 77, died March 27. Born Nov. 14, 1933 in Traer, he was the son of Earl Francis McCosh and Zelma Fagan McCosh. He was a 1951 graduate of Great Bend High School and then attended Fort Hays State University. After graduating from FHSU in 1955, he enlisted in the United States Army and served for two years in the Intelligence Corps. After his honorable discharge, he continued service in the U.S. Army Reserves until Nov. 28, 1961. In 1953 he married Beverly Ann Brown. They later divorced.
James E. "Pappy" Bell, 82, died April 10 at his home surrounded by his loving family in Great Bend. He was born May 18, 1928, at Peabody, the son of Jesse M. and Anna (Swift) Bell. He married Grace Ann Smith June 15, 1952, at Great Bend. He worked for Petro-log and Tomlinson Oil Company until his retirement in 1989. Charles F. "Chuck" Edwards, 96, died April 9 at River Bend Assisted Living in Great Bend. Born Jan. 13, 1915 at Washington, D.C., he was the son of Charles Frederick and Mary (Faunce) Edwards. In 1936 he graduated from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a degree in political science. A resident of Great Bend since 1957, coming from Garden City, he was retired as vice-president for Central Telephone and Utility. He was an avid golfer and trap shooter. He loved reading, taking a special interest in history and political science.
BELLA VISTA, Ark. - Maxine Wyatt, 86, passed away on March 29, at Highlands Health Care in Bella Vista. She was born June 14, 1927 to George and Margaret McCoy in Norton. She graduated from Norton High School and went to work for Southwest Bell Telephone Company. In 1947, she married Ray Wyatt. In 1953, they moved to Great Bend. She worked at American State Bank for 36 years and retired. She did volunteer work at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend, and Eucharistic Minister at St. Patrick's Church. Noemi R. "Mimi" Sanchez, 59, passed away on Friday evening at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Born on June 22, 1954 in McAllen, Texas, she was the daughter of Pedro and Teresa (Rosales) Ramos. On March 8, 1980, she was united in marriage to Israel "Lalo" Sanchez in McAllen, Texas. The couple came to Great Bend in October of 1986. Noemi enjoyed cooking and playing Bingo, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
