LARNED – Father James F. Graner, 83, died Sept. 10 at the Larned Healthcare Center. Born Sept. 15, 1928, in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of Carl and Marialice Ludeman Graner. On April 7, 1956, he married Anne LoBianco, at Oyster Bay, N.Y. She survives. He graduated from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He worked for the G.M. and Republic Aviation, then went to St. Luke Seminary, at Sewanne, Tenn. where in 1967 he was ordained an Episcopal Priest in Birmingham, Ala. RAPID CITY, S.D. - Dale L. Lunsford, 79, of Rapid City, S.D. passed away on Sept. 7 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. Born Sept. 6, 1933 in Penalosa, he was the son of Ronald and Velma (Waters) Lunsford. He graduated from Fort Hays State University and began teaching high school and coaching athletics. LACROSSE - Justin J. Urban, 77, died Sept. 4 at Rush County Memorial Hospital in La Crosse. Born Jan. 12, 1935, in Bison, he was the son of Wendelin and Rose Mary (Leiker) Urban. He was a lifelong resident of Rush County, Kansas. Attaining his GED from Barton County Community College in 1980, he was a plumber for Marlette Coach Company in Great Bend before his retirement. TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - Leroy E. Borron, 84, former Great Bend resident, died at his home with family at his side on July 21. Born Sept. 11, 1927 in Jennings, Okla., he was the son of Everett and Lucille (Harp) Borron. He attended school in Hoisington. On Aug. 15, 1950, he married Dorothy Ann Deines of Hoisington, in Hoisington. They had four children. He worked in the oil production industry, sold real estate and was an insurance salesman for Farmers Insurance. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family at the lake.
HAYSVILLE - Wade Patrick Kern, 58, passed away Sept. 3, 2012 in Oklahoma. Wade was born April 18, 1954 in Great Bend to Kenneth and Ellen (Carter) Kern. He enjoyed woodworking and visiting with family.
HUTCHINSON - Stephanie (Stinnett) Keating, 58, died August 31. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Buhler Mortuary Chapel, Buhler. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
Virginia "Gini" I. Sharp, 83, retired secretary, homemaker, and owner of Wheat Weaving Creations, passed away Aug. 31. Gini was a charter member of Woodlawn Baptist Church est. in 1955, actively serving in many different capacities. She was founder of the Wichita Wheat Weavers' Guild and past president of the National Association of Wheat Weavers. She was also past president of the Roger Williams Association of the American Baptist Women's Ministries and editor for the Association for the past 12 years. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter GE.
